Sloane sofabeds and Sloane sofa |
We recently bought two Sloane sofabeds and one Sloane sofa from Sofabeds.co.uk. These were intended for everyday seating, and as spare beds in a large family room. We wanted something unusual – one red and another blue sofabed and a contrasting lighter colour. Having done the rounds of the furniture shops and warehouses, after looking at a thousand shades of beige wrapped around unpleasant, uncomfortable designs, we found nothing we liked. We looked online and were surprised by the choice of styles offered by Sofabeds. We looked first at fabric coverings and the samples looked very good. But then we decided that, in a room with dawn to dusk sunlight, fading would probably be a problem; and with regular use by young children, staining from spillages would be a risk. We asked about leather (which then was not shown online at Sofabeds.co.uk) and were directed to the websites of three potential leather suppliers. A load more samples of superb quality convinced us that we would go with leather. Several phonecalls were then needed to make sure that the sofa sizes, materials and comfort would all be as we wanted. Then we asked the crucial question of John Ash (Director): if Sofabeds.co.uk make three special sofas in leather, would the regular promise still apply – that if we were not happy with the purchase, and let them know within seven days of receipt, they would collect them free of charge and refund the price in full. ‘Of course’ was the reply. This exceptional faith in the product convinced us that we should ‘risk’ buying three sofas, even though we had never even sat upon a sample. The order was placed.The sofas were produced in the timescale quoted at the time of order. They were delivered to our door on the promised day. The delivery guys were helpful, put them where wanted (and the sofas are very heavy) and took away all the packaging. The sofas are fabulous; beautifully made and very comfortable; and far better than anything we saw on the High Street. Good value too. The beds look excellent, though we haven’t had reason to try them overnight yet. Would we ask Sofabeds.co.uk to collect free of charge? No way. We could hardly claim to be unhappy.If Sofabeds.co.uk offer a style you like, we feel sure you’ll like the excellent quality and extraordinary service.
