The frame of the Hoxton is made from kiln dried beech from sustainable sources. It is immensely strong as all the joints are glued, screwed, and dowelled. So strong that it carries a 10 year guarantee. Made by craftsmen in England. The seat cushion has a foam core surrounded by duck feathers. This provides "give", without the need to plump it on a daily basis, although it should be done weekly. Probably the finest seat cushion available. The back cushions are duck feather. The Hoxton comes with three back cushions as standard, but you can order extra ones separately. The 11cm deep spring interior mattress, supported by a wooden slatted base, is suitable for every night use.The distance from the back of the sofabed to the foot of the bed when open, is 224cm. The feet are made from beech wood.

*Sprung wooden slatted base for 2/3 of length. The final 1/3 is webbing. This gives a soft base for the seat cushions to rest on, utilising the "give" in the mattress.
